The Wooden Horse Barista Course is a Bay Of Plenty NZ based Barista training school.
New Zealand is a highly regarded "Espresso Nation", but still too often fundamental barista skills are lacking in many cafes around the country.
At The Wooden Horse we want to change this starting from the ground up. By teaching and passing on our passion we hope to instill our enthusiasm for the barista craft so that not only do consumers get the best coffee possible, but the barista can take some joy in the knowledge they are contributing to this exciting and colourful industry.

About Wooden Horse:
Troy is the head Barista trainer and has been working with coffee for around 10 years now.
He has competed in National level Barista competition for the last four years as well as doing time behind many cafe espresso machines.
Troy continues to educate himself in all aspects of the industry, including roasting, blending, machine maintenance and servicing.
The ex owner of a mobile espresso bar and trainer for several local cafes, Troy wants to inspire other Barista's to take pride in their work and help put New Zealand back on the map as a serious coffee destination.
